Build A Flux Capacitor Replica
I've had many requests to post my Arduino code for others to use. I am hesitant to do this because of the flood of programming questions that will follow. Now, I like questions and actually enjoy interacting with other builders. What I fear is that some will think they can build a microcomputer controlled Flux Capacitor without having to learn a little about electronics and programming. I've already had emails with the sort of questions that makes me cringe like "I purchased an Arduino, can you send me your code?"
My site is not meant as a step by step procedure for how to build a Flux Capacitor, but rather as a guide as how I built mine. You can certainly gleam about 80% of what you need to know from my site, but you'll still have to figure some things out for yourself.
I have posted my schematic and may update with my revised circuit. If you don't understand the schematic you will probably struggle with the programming aspect, so be warned. You also need to know where all the electronics are placed and how to group them logically so that wiring will make sense.
That being said, if you are serious and want are learning how to program the Arduino, drop me a line and let me know how you're doing. Maybe we can swap some notes or code, but please give it a go first. Start with the Arduino tutorials, in particular the Blinking LED program, as that applies directly to this project. Also be willing to understand the circuit and how it controls the LED's.
If programming and electronics are not for you, there are easier ways of making lights flash as others have used Christmas tree lights. While not as versatile as using an Arduino, it will get the job done.
